Rules of horseshoes
The game of horseshoes is one that has been around for a very long time, it was first discovered around 6000 B.C. and has continued to be one of the most popular games played in history. There are many different types of horseshoes including the three, seven and twelve yard. Other than just picking the length you can also choose whether the horses need to be able to jump, trot or run. The game of horseshoes can be played in a variety of different sports such as football and lacrosse, but it is very popular among equestrians also.
The game of horseshoes is played by a team of people called “pony” or “pens.” The players actually ride on two different sized horses, which are known as “ponies” and “horses.” Each player on either team of two makes turns trying to knock their opponents off balance by making “hop” kicks. This is known as jockeying. When a player gets off balance and loses balance the pony will make a whip over movement and the player will fall to one side. This is referred to as being “done over,” and the player will be forced to walk back to the starting point where they start again.
The game of horseshoes is often referred to as a “friendly” game because players on either team often get to know one another. There are often tournaments where the winner takes the prize money and the loser has to walk away. There are many different age groups for this game. Younger children are usually allowed to play if they are accompanied by an adult and it is common for even small children to play. The game rules of this game are easy to understand and play, there is no need to be particularly athletic, and it’s a great way for people to get together and have some fun.
